Remote Income Hub

About Us

Our Mission

Remote Income Hub exists to prove one simple truth: You don’t need a traditional job to earn real money. You don’t need credentials, connections, or years of experience. You just need to understand how remote work actually works and be willing to start.

Most freelancing advice online comes from people who are selling courses. They benefit when you think you need expensive training. We’re different. We share what actually works because we’ve lived it.

About Mohsin Farooq

My name is Mohsin Farooq, and I’ve built my income entirely through freelancing and remote work for the past 8+ years.

How I Started

Eight years ago, I needed money. Not because I was desperate (though I was), but because I wanted to prove something to myself: that I could earn on my own terms.

I had no special credentials. No degree in a high-demand field. No connections in the tech industry. What I had was the ability to write clearly and a willingness to start at the bottom.

I signed up for Fiverr on a random Tuesday. My first gig was a $5 article. It took me 3 hours. I made $1.67 per hour after platform fees. It was embarrassing.

But here’s what mattered: I delivered something better than the client expected. They left a great review. That review changed everything.

Within 3 months, I was earning $500/month. Within 6 months, I’d moved to Upwork and was making $1,200/month. Within a year, I had clients requesting me specifically and paying premium rates.

That year taught me more about business, communication, and self-discipline than any classroom ever could.

What I’ve Learned

Over 8 years, I’ve:

I’ve also learned what doesn’t work. The courses that promise “$10,000 in 30 days.” The “get rich quick” schemes. The advice from people who’ve never actually freelanced but are great at marketing.

That experience gap is why I started this site.

Why I Created This Site

I created Remote Income Hub because I was tired of seeing beginners get bad advice.

They read articles about freelancing written by people selling $997 courses. They watch YouTube videos from people who make more from ads than from actual freelancing work. They follow gurus who’ve been out of the field for years but still pretend to be current.

Meanwhile, actual freelancers—people doing real work and earning real money—stay quiet. We’re too busy working to record courses or write content.

I decided to break that pattern.

This site shares what freelancing actually looks like in 2026. Not the theoretical version. Not the version designed to sell you something. The real version.

Real timelines (you won’t make $2,000 in month one). Real challenges (clients can be difficult). Real solutions (how I actually handle rejection, pricing, and difficult projects). Real earnings data (here’s what you can actually make at each stage).

What You’ll Find Here

Getting Started: How to identify your first freelance skill, choose a platform, and land your first client. No experience required.

Platforms: Deep dives into where freelancers actually find work—the honest versions, not the marketing versions.

Skills & Income: What skills pay well, how much you can earn at each level, and how to progress from beginner to experienced freelancer.

Real Stories: Actual earnings reports, client stories, and lessons from 8 years in the field.

Systems: How I manage multiple clients, handle difficult projects, and keep my sanity while freelancing full-time.

My Promise to You

Everything on this site comes from real experience, not theory.

I won’t sell you a course. I won’t tell you that you’ll make $10,000 in your first month. I won’t pretend that freelancing is easy or that everyone succeeds.

What I will do:

How to Use This Site

Start with “How to Start Freelancing with Zero Experience” if you’re just beginning.

Jump to “Best Freelance Platforms” if you’re trying to choose where to work.

Use the search bar if you have a specific question.

Leave comments on articles—I read and respond to them.

Beyond This Site

I’m also active on:

I don’t have social media accounts because I learned years ago that social media is a distraction. I’d rather focus on writing quality articles than chasing followers.

One More Thing

If you’re reading this because you’re considering freelancing but you’re scared—good.

That fear is normal. I felt it too.

The difference between people who succeed and people who quit is not talent or connections or perfect circumstances. It’s usually just stubborness. The willingness to push through month one and month two when progress is slow.

If you have that, you’ll be fine.

Everything else you need, I’ll teach you on this site.
