About Me

Assalam-o-Alaikum, I’m Mohsin.

I live in I-14, Islamabad. You know the area? Behind the sector, near the small market where the chai is always garam.

I am not a mechanic. I am not a certified expert in anything.

Main driver hoon.

I drive for InDrive and Yango. Every day, I am on the roads of Rawalpindi and Islamabad for 8 to 10 hours. Sometimes more.

I pick up passengers from Saddar, from I-8, from G-10, from Peshawar Mor, from Faizabad, from Tench Bhata. Rich people. Poor people. Students. Government officers. Mechanics. Cobblers. Document agents. Tourists from other countries. Everyone sits in my back seat.

And they talk. They tell me their problems.

“Bhai, meri gari ki AC kharab ho gayi.”
“Yaar, belt ka hole barh gaya hai.”
“Mera B-Form nahi ban raha.”
“Kahan sasta tyre mile ga?”
“I am a tourist. Where should I stay? What time should I go to Faisal Mosque?”

I listen. I ask questions. I learn.

Then I go find answers.

Yeh website kyun? (Why this website?)

One day, my own belt hole stretched. The pin wouldn’t stay. My trousers felt loose. I searched online for help. Every website said the same thing: “Use glue and cardboard.”

I tried it. First time? Main ne zyada glue laga di. It squeezed out onto the front of my belt. Kaam kharab ho gaya.

Second time? Less glue. More patience. It worked.

I thought: “There are thousands of people in Rawalpindi and Islamabad who have small problems like this. No one to ask. No one to show them.”

I decided to become that person.

Main kia likhta hoon? (What do I write about?)

Four things right now. More later.

1. Car problems — Because I drive. My car has broken down more times than I can count. Engine overheating. AC dead. Battery finished. Tire puncture at 11 PM. I fixed everything myself. Sometimes cheaply. Sometimes after failing. But I learned. I write what I learned.

2. Navigation and shortcuts — Because I sit in traffic every day. Containers block the road. VIP movement shuts down the city. I know which underpass stays open. Which service road saves 10 minutes. Which route to take when everyone else is stuck. I write those shortcuts.

3. Local problems and solutions — Because my passengers tell me everything. Where to find a cobbler in I-8. Which mechanic in Rawalpindi won’t overcharge you. Which shop in Saddar sells cheap phone chargers at 2 AM. Which NADRA agent can get your B-Form fast. I visit these places. I test them. I write what I find.

4. Travel tips for Pakistan — Because I pick up foreigners at the airport. They ask me: Where is safe? What time should I go? How much should I pay? I tell them. Now I write it down so everyone can benefit.

Mera tareeqa kya hai? (What is my method?)

Simple.

I face a problem. I try to fix it. Sometimes I fail. Sometimes I succeed. I write about both.

I talk to my passengers. They tell me their solutions. I try them myself. I write what works.

I go to the markets. I visit the shops. I ask the prices. I take photos. I write everything down.

This is not copied content. This is not AI-generated garbage. This is my life. My car. My city. My mistakes. My lessons.

Tumharay liye kya hai? (What’s in it for you?)

If you live in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, or anywhere in Pakistan — this website is for you.

If you are a foreigner coming to Pakistan for the first time — this website is also for you.

  • Your car AC stopped working? I will tell you where to fix it cheaply.
  • Your belt hole stretched? I will show you how I fixed mine.
  • You need a document fast? I will share the agent who helped me.
  • You are stuck in traffic? I will give you the shortcut.
  • You are a tourist? I will tell you where to stay, what time to go, and how to not get overcharged.

But I am not stopping here.

This website will grow as I learn more. If I discover a hidden restaurant that serves amazing food for 200 rupees — I will write about it. If I find a place that sells good second-hand furniture — I will write about it. If a passenger tells me about a problem I never thought of — I will research it, fix it, and write about it.

The only rule is: I only write what I have seen, tried, or learned myself.

Just real experience from a driver who spends every day on the roads of this city.

Mujh say raabta kaisay karain? (How to contact me?)

You can contact me anytime via email at mohsin@oomnews.com or through the contact page. I usually respond as soon as possible.

If you have a problem, or a question, or a hidden shop in your sector that I should visit — just contact me.

I read every message. If I don’t know the answer, I will find it. And then I will write about it.

Aakhri baat (Final thing)

I am not a professional blogger. I don’t have a journalism degree.

I am just Mohsin. Driver. Observer. Fixer.

I live in islamabad. I drive on the roads of Rawalpindi and Islamabad every day. I see things. I learn things. I write them down.

If I can fix it, you can fix it.

Shukriya for visiting my website.
