New Suzuki Swift vs New Honda City — Mileage, Suspension, and AC Comparison

New Suzuki Swift. New Honda City. Dono 2026 ki nayi gaariyan. Dono showroom mein hai. Dono log le rahe hain.

But bhai, dono bilkul alag hain. Ek hai hatth. Ek hai sedan. Ek hai fun. Ek hai family.

Mein ne dekha. Passengers se poocha. Reviews parhay. Specs check kiye. So here is the real comparison. Mileage. Suspension. AC. Sab kuch. Messy. Real. Unpolished.

(Disclaimer: Bhai, main driver hoon. Car dealer nahi. Prices yeh hain June 2026 ki . Petrol price change hota rehta hai. Apni driveing style bhi affect karti hai. So apni aankhon se dekhna aur test drive karna.)

Price. Pehle yeh dekh lein.

Swift GL CVT. 46.05 lakh .
Swift GLX CVT. 47.66 lakh .

City 1.2L CVT. 47.37 lakh .
City 1.5L Aspire CVT. 60.69 lakh . Haan. 60 lakh. Bohot bara farq.

Bhai, Swift ka top model 47 lakh ka hai. City ka base model bhi 47 lakh ka hai. But City ka 1.5L Aspire? 13 lakh zyada. Toh comparison thoda unfair hai. Like comparing apples and oranges.

One passenger said: “Bhai, Swift le lo. City ka price dekh kar paseena aa jata hai.”

Another said: “City 1.2L mat lo. Kamzor hai. Ya to 1.5L lo ya Swift lo.”

So. Swift is budget-friendly. City 1.5L is premium.

Mileage. Petrol ki baat.

Swift GL CVT: 14-17 km/l .
Swift GLX CVT: 12-15 km/l .
City 1.5L CVT: 12-16 km/l .

Official numbers. But bhai, real world mein sab thora kam hai.

Swift owners say: 12-13 city mein. 15-16 highway. City owners say: 11-13 city mein. 14-15 highway.

One passenger said: “Bhai, Swift light hai. Isliye petrol kam leti hai. City bhaari hai. Thori zyada leti hai.”

Another said: “City 1.2L fuel average acha hai. 1.5L mein power hai lekin petrol bhi zyada leti hai.”

So. Swift ka mileage thora better hai. Because Swift is lighter. City is heavier.

Suspension. Comfort ki jang.

Bhai, yeh wala part important hai.

City ki suspension stiff hai. Hard. You feel every pothole. Every speed breaker.

One owner wrote: “City has the worst suspension of any pkdm car even worse than swift… apkee garee lag gae haai motorcycle mah itnee ziada awaaz atee haai bump kee andar” .

Another owner agreed: “City has hard suspension i agree” .

But swift bhi perfect nahi hai.

Another owner wrote: “Swift rattles way too much” .

And: “anyone with ears can sit in swift and can hear rattles which become louder with every passing day” .

So. Dono mein problems hain. City stiff hai. Swift rattle karti hai.

But bhai, there is hope. One owner said: “A simple yokohama db helped city to become comfortable while originally it was with pathetic general tyres” . So tyre change kar lo. Thora farq parta hai.

Corolla comparison. For context, one owner wrote: “A bump feels like a soft pillow to corrola suspension it is that good… Toyota has no comparison with honda it is far superior” .

So. Dono mein se koi Corolla nahi hai. But if you have to choose, City’s stiff suspension at least gives stability. Swift’s rattles are… annoying.

AC. Garmi mein kaam.

Bhai, Pakistan mein AC is life.

Old Swift ka AC weak tha. Owners complained. 2010 Swift owner wrote: “as soon as temperature increase the car shows that it is the car by Pak Suzuki because its AC is as pathetic as cultus or alto” .

But new Swift? Specs mein improvements hain. Reviews say AC is better now. Not Civic level. But manageable.

City ka AC? Bhai, solid hai. Honda ka AC famous hai.

One owner wrote: “Citys ac is even better than civic” .

Another owner said: “I used AC of City in many summers and it is very very awsome and icy cool even at 50’C” .

So. City wins AC. No doubt. Swift has improved. But not at Honda level.

Other Differences. Bhoolna mat.

Ground clearance. Swift higher hai. City scrapes on speed breakers. One owner confirmed: “City touches nearly every speed braker. But ground clearance of Swift is much more than City” . So if you drive on bad roads, Swift is better.

Interior space. City has more space. It’s a sedan. Swift is a hatchback. Back seat mein 3 adults? City is fine. Swift? Thoda tight.

Features. City has rear AC vents . Swift doesn’t. In summer, rear passengers suffer. City also has cruise control. Paddle shifters. More premium feel . Swift has basic features. Functional. Not fancy.

Engine power. City 1.5L has 118 hp. Swift has 80-90 hp. So City is more powerful. But Swift is lighter. So power to weight ratio? Similar. One owner wrote: “Swift has excellent power to weight ratio” .

Build quality. City feels solid. Swift? Pak Suzuki quality issues. One owner wrote: “Pak Suzuki will ruin it as always by degrading quality gradually” .

Passenger Stories. Real Experiences.

Passenger 1. Swift GL CVT owner. 6 months.

“Bhai, gaari achi hai. City mein chalanay mein maza hai. Light hai. Park karna easy. Petrol bhi kam leti hai. Lekin AC thora kam hai. Peak summer mein… paseena aa jata hai. Suspension rattles thora. Lekin is price mein theek hai.”

Passenger 2. City 1.5L Aspire owner. 1 year.

“Bhai, gaari solid hai. AC baraf. Suspension hard hai lekin main ne tyres change kar liye. Ab better hai. Highway par stability achi hai. Family ke liye best hai. Lekin petrol 11-12 deti hai. Thora zyada hai.”

Passenger 3. Sold Swift, bought City.

“Bhai, Swift le li thi. 6 mahine rakhi. Phir bech di. AC kam tha. Rattles bohat thay. City le li. Ab sukoon hai. Mehengi hai lekin peace of mind hai.”

Passenger 4. Happy Swift owner.

“Bhai, jo log kehtay hain Swift kharab hai, unhon ne kabhi gaari nahi chalai. City se compare karte hain. Bhai, dono alag segment ki gaariyan hain. Swift apni price mein best hai. City 60 lakh ki hai. Of course better hogi.”

So. Swift owners are happy if they understand what they bought. City owners are happy if they can afford it.

The Verdict. Kaunsi lo?

Bhai. Dono achi hain. Dono mein problems hain. Depends on your priority.

Buy New Suzuki Swift if:

  • Budget 47 lakh hai
  • You want fuel average (12-15 km/l)
  • You drive mostly in city (easy to park, maneuver)
  • You don’t need rear AC vents
  • You can ignore some rattles
  • You want a fun, light car

One passenger said: “Bhai, Swift le. Baki gaariyan boring hain. Swift mein maza hai.”

Buy New Honda City if:

  • Budget 60 lakh hai (for 1.5L)
  • You want powerful AC (Pakistan summers are brutal)
  • You drive on highways often (stability matters)
  • You need rear AC vents (family)
  • You can handle stiff suspension
  • You want sedan space and comfort

One passenger said: “Bhai, City le. Thora mehngi hai lekin AC aur comfort ke liye worth hai.”

But bhai, City 1.2L mat lena. 47 lakh ki hai. Par engine kamzor hai. Swift better hai us price mein. Ya to Swift lo. Ya City 1.5L lo. City 1.2L is no man’s land.

One owner said: “City and Swift should not be compared because City is much more expensive car as compared to swift” . And that was back in 2013. Ab bhi same hai.

So.

My take (driver’s honest opinion).

Bhai, agar mere paas 47 lakh hotay, main Swift leta. City 1.2L kamzor hai. 1.5L mehngi hai.

Swift mein AC thora kam hai. Suspension rattles karti hai. Lekin gaari fun hai. Petrol kam leti hai. Park karna easy hai.

Agar mere paas 60 lakh hotay, main City 1.5L leta. AC baraf. Highway stable. Family comfortable. But suspension hard hai. Tyres change karne partay hain.

But bhai, dono mein Corolla jaisa sukoon nahi hai. Corolla boring hai. Lekin kuch nahi toota. Kuch nahi hua. Har cheez theek hai.

So. Apni priority dekho.

Daily city driving, budget 47 lakh? Swift.

Family car, highway driving, budget 60 lakh? City 1.5L.

Peace of mind? Corolla.

Bookmark this page. Jab showroom jao, yaad rakhna. Test drive karna. AC check karna. Speed breaker pe suspension check karna. Phir faisla karna.
