Oshan X7 Review — The “Cheaper H6” That No One Talks About
Oshan X7. You see it on the road sometimes. Looks big. Looks fancy. 7 seats. Sunroof. Features list lambi hai. Price? 84 lakh for used. 85 lakh for new Comfort variant. FutureSense? More.
But bhai, it’s the “cheaper H6” that no one talks about. H6 is 9 million+ . Oshan is similar. Thora kam. But not “cheap.”
So kyun nahi log le rahe? Kyun nahi baat hoti? Mein ne research ki. Passengers se poocha. Reviews parhay. Specs check kiye.
Yeh hai sach. Ganda sach. Messy sach.
(Disclaimer: Bhai, main driver hoon. Car dealer nahi. Prices June 2026 ki hain. Fuel average depends on driving. Parts prices change. Apni research karo. Test drive karo.)

The Price. Kitne Ka Hai?
Bhai, Oshan X7 is not “cheap.” It’s “value for money” in the 7-seater SUV segment.
2025 Comfort model used: 84.5 lakh . Galaxy Black. 18,000 km driven. Features: Panoramic sunroof, 360 camera, alloy rims, cruise control, climate control, keyless entry, power seats.
New? Comfort variant around 85 lakh. FutureSense variant? More. Maybe 90 lakh+.
Compare to H6? H6 1.5T is 90 lakh+ . Oshan is thora kam. Not much. Thora.
Compare to Sportage? Sportage L Alpha is 89 lakh . Similar. Sportage L HEV? 90+ lakh . MG HS? 80-85 lakh . Jetour Dashing? 80-85 lakh .
So. Oshan is not “sasta.” It’s priced like its competitors. H6 se kam. Sportage jitna.
One owner wrote: “best SUV under 1 crore” . Under 1 crore. Yes. But barely. 84-90 lakh. Still not a small amount.
So why “cheaper H6”? Because H6 is 90 lakh+. Oshan is 84-90. Thora kam. Thora.
But features? Oshan has more. 7 seats. H6 has 5 seats. That’s the difference. 7 seats feature hai. Family ke liye.
But bhai, 85 lakh for a Changan? Log sochte hain. “Changan reliable hai? Parts milenge? Resale kya hogi?”
Yahi masla hai.
Fuel Average. Bhai, controversy hai.
Official claim? 12-14 km/l .
But bhai, real world? Different story.
Official vs Reality.
One review said: “Company boldly claims 12-14 km per liter, real-world experiences tell different story. Many drivers report struggling to achieve even 10 km per liter in city conditions” .
Even worse: “some users faced fuel average displayed on cluster meter is misleading and inaccurate, giving drivers a false sense of efficiency” .
Real numbers from owners.
Pakwheels comparison: Oshan X7 gives 12-13 km/l in city. Best among H6, Dashing, MG HS . That’s what the article says. But that’s… optimistic.
Another source: “Unfortunately, many Oshan X7 owners in cities like Lahore, Islamabad, and Karachi report poor city fuel efficiency — around 7-9 km/l, despite 1.5L turbo engine” .
Why? Because gaari bhaari hai. Heavy curb weight. Turbo tuning is for performance, not economy. Stop-and-go traffic kills mileage. 7-speed DCT transmission isn’t efficient at low speeds .
One owner asked: “I was expecting better mileage from a 1.5 turbo engine, but I’m barely getting 7-8 km/l in city traffic” .
Highway is better. 12-14 km/l on highway. Much better. Toh Oshan is for long drives. Not for daily city commuting.
Tips to improve (from real owners):
- Light-foot driving. Keep RPM below 2,000.
- Avoid frequent short trips.
- Use good quality fuel (RON 92+)
- Maintain tire pressure
- Regular tuning
One user said: “Highway mileage is generally much better, showing issue is mostly with urban driving” .
So. Agar aap daily city mein drive karte ho, 10-20 km per day? Oshan fuel average disappoint kare ga. Agar aap long drives karte ho, motorway pe? Oshan shines.
My passenger’s experience: “Bhai, main ne Oshan li. City mein 8-9 deti hai. Highway pe 13. Tension hai. Lekin gaari comfortable hai.”
Spare Parts. Bhai, yeh wala part darawana hai.
Bhai, parts availability is… concerning.
Catalytic Converter.
One user asked: “How do you rate availability and cost of replacement catalytic converter for Oshan X7 in Pakistan?”
Expert answer: “Availability is limited, especially for genuine OEM parts. Most dealerships have a long wait time, and prices range from Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 120,000. Aftermarket or refurbished converters are cheaper Rs. 25,000-50,000 but may not last as long or meet emission standards” .
1.2 lakh for catalytic converter. Yes. 1,20,000 rupees.
Purge Control Valve.
Another user asked about purge control valve. Small part. Expert said: “Yes, users in smaller cities like Multan, Sargodha, or Quetta reported delays in availability of genuine purge valves. Some had to order from Karachi or Lahore, or resort to aftermarket alternatives” .
Small cities mein parts nahi hain. Mangwane partay hain. Time lagta hai.
Dealership Network.
Positive side: Oshan X7 has largest dealership network among H6, Dashing, MG HS . Changan has strong presence. Dealerships in major cities.
But bhai, dealership hai toh parts nahi hain. “Most dealerships have a long wait time.” So.
One owner wrote: “buying a new car depends that the network and background of the company and their network is awesome and available all over Pakistan. There’s a great dealership of it in Multan” .
So dealerships hain. Parts availability? Issue.
Verdict on parts: Agar aap Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Multan mein rehte ho, dealership hai. Parts mil jayenge. Thora wait karna pare ga. Agar aap small city mein rehte ho, Sargodha, Quetta, etc., parts mushkil milenge. Mangwane pare gay. Time lage ga. Price bhi zyada.
The Ride. Comfort vs Power.
Bhai, Oshan X7 drives well. Owners are happy.
Engine Power.
1.5L turbo. 185 horsepower. 300 Nm torque . Most powerful in its class. H6 has 151 HP. Dashing 154 HP. MG HS 160 HP. Oshan 185 HP. Bhai, power hai.
One review wrote: “Oshan X7 stands out with its superior power and torque, offering robust acceleration and performance” .
Transmission.
7-speed DCT. Better than 6-speed DCT in rivals. Smoother shifts. More efficient .
Ride Comfort.
One owner wrote: “Great SUV, a lot of features and comfortable ride, it has the highest acceleration ever I experienced” .
Another: “True feeling of luxury, D class 7 seater SUV with stylish elegant and aggressive exterior. Excellent suspension, powerful engine, features packed, fuel efficient, good ground clearance” .
Another owner compared to Mercedes: “Comfort is like mercedes” .
Passenger said: “Bhai, gaari smooth hai. Suspension achi hai. Potholes pe bhi comfortable hai.”
Space. 7 seats. Third row? Tight hai. Kids ke liye okay. Adults ke liye thora mushkil. But 7 seats feature hai. Family ke liye.
Features. Panoramic sunroof. 360 camera. Cruise control. Climate control. Keyless entry. Push start. Power seats. LED projector headlights. Sab hai.
What’s Missing. The Negatives.
Bhai, perfect gaari nahi hai. Issues hain.
No Telescopic Steering. Steering adjust nahi hota. Sirf up-down hota hai. In-out nahi. Tall drivers ke liye problem.
No Rear AC Vents for Last Row. 7-seater hai. Third row mein AC vents nahi hain . Last row mein baithnay walay garmi mein paseena paseena ho gaye gay. Long journeys uncomfortable for back passengers.
Fuel Average Controversy. Official claim 12-14. Real world 7-9 in city. Big difference. Misleading.
Cluster Meter Inaccuracy. Some users report fuel average displayed is incorrect . Gives false sense of efficiency. You think gaari achi de rahi hai. Reality mein nahi.
Resale Value. Not as strong as Toyota, Honda, Kia. One owner wrote: “Changan Oshan X7 is the best selling SUV in Pakistan but it need more improvement to make its market value more strong” .
Parts Availability. Not like Toyota. Genuine parts wait time. Prices high. Small cities mein mushkil.
PHEV Competition. Critics argue Oshan X7 is falling behind. PHEV hybrids like Chery Tiggo 8 PHEV offer superior fuel savings and eco-friendly performance .
Resale Value. Kya Hoga?
Bhai, yeh wala part unclear hai. Oshan X7 is still new in Pakistan. 2021-2022 mein aayi. So long-term resale data nahi hai.
Some owners say resale is fast. “Resale value is also very fast in Pakistan, it has become a popular vehicle due to style, reliability, practicality and performance” .
Others say need improvement. “Best selling SUV in Pakistan but it need more improvement to make its market value more strong” .
Used price? 2025 model, 18,000 km, 84.5 lakh . Original price was similar. So depreciation is low. Good sign.
But compare to Sportage? Sportage used market stronger. Compare to H6? Similar. Compare to Corolla? No.
Oshan resale is acceptable. Not great. Not terrible. Acceptable.
One passenger said: “Bhai, Oshan li. 2 saal mein bechna hai. Dekhtay hain kitna milta hai.”
The Verdict. Is Oshan X7 Worth It?
Bhai, depends. Oshan X7 is not for everyone.
Buy Oshan X7 if:
- You need 7 seats (family, kids, parents)
- You drive mostly on highways (fuel average better)
- You want most powerful engine in class (185 HP)
- You want features (sunroof, 360 camera, panoramic)
- You live in major city (dealership access)
- You can afford 84-90 lakh
- You keep car for 3-5 years
Don’t buy Oshan X7 if:
- You drive daily in city traffic (fuel average 7-9)
- You are worried about parts availability
- You live in small city
- Resale value is your top priority
- You want rear AC vents for third row
- You want telescopic steering
- You prefer Toyota/Honda peace of mind
Comparison with H6 and Sportage:
Oshan X7 vs Haval H6:
- Oshan has 7 seats. H6 has 5 seats.
- Oshan has 185 HP. H6 has 151 HP.
- Oshan fuel average similar (maybe better).
- H6 resale stronger.
- H6 dealership network also strong.
Oshan X7 vs Kia Sportage:
- Oshan has 7 seats. Sportage has 5 seats.
- Oshan has more power.
- Sportage resale much stronger.
- Sportage parts availability better.
- Sportage fuel average similar (9-10).
So. Oshan wins on power and 7 seats. Loses on resale and parts availability.
My take (driver’s honest opinion).
Bhai, Oshan X7 is a good SUV. Powerful. Comfortable. Feature-packed. 7 seats. Price is okay for what you get.
But bhai, it’s not a Toyota. It’s not a Honda. It’s not a Kia. It’s a Changan. Chinese brand. Pakistan mein still building trust.
If you have 85 lakh, and you need 7 seats, and you drive on highways, and you live in a big city, and you don’t plan to sell soon? Oshan X7 is a solid choice.
If you have 85 lakh, and you want peace of mind, and resale value, and parts everywhere? Buy a used Sportage. Or stretch budget for H6. Or buy a Corolla and forget SUVs.
One owner summed up: “Difficult but best decision to buy SUV. At this time full of options, it was a difficult decision to select an SUV with full options and best price. Finally found Oshan X7. True feeling of luxury.”
Another: “I’m drive Oshan X7 for 1 year, this car no issue and no lag. Tucson or Sportage se bohat acchi hai or Haval se bhe.”
So. Happy owners exist. Nervous owners exist. Like all Chinese cars.
Bookmark this page. Jab Oshan dekhne jao, test drive karo. Fuel average check karo. Parts availability poocho. Dealership se baat karo. Phir faisla karo.
