The Best Rs. 100 Wi-Fi Hotspots in F-10 Markaz for Freelancers and Students
Last Updated: April 25, 2026
Look.
You are a freelancer. Or a student. Or just someone who needs internet. Ghar ka Wi-Fi slow hai. Or no load shedding. Or maybe you just want to get out. Sit somewhere. Work. Not spend too much.
You have 100 rupees. Maybe 150. That is it.
F-10 Markaz. Islamabad. You heard cafes have Wi-Fi. But bhai, coffee is 500 rupees. Cake is 600. You cannot afford.
So where do you go?
I drive passengers. I drop them in F-10. I wait. I see. I ask. They tell me.
Here is the list. Some are exactly 100 rupees. Some are 150. But you can sit for hours. No one kicks you out.
Quick Answer (If You Are in a Hurry)
| Place | What to Buy | Cost (PKR) | Wi-Fi? | Can You Work? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Silver Oaks Net Cafe (F-10/4) | Black coffee or chai | 100-150 | Yes | Yes, very good |
| BREE Cafe (G-10, near F-10) | Chai | 100 | Yes | Yes, budget friendly |
| Milk Center (Butter Plaza) | Chai + Paratha | 80-100 | Free (Google Wifi) | Yes, but crowded |
| Chaaye Khana (F-10) | Chai | 150-200 | Yes | Yes, but busy |
| Any Burger shop near Super Market | Cold drink | 60-80 | Ask, sometimes free | No, not comfortable |
My top pick? Silver Oaks or Milk Center. Depends on your mood.
The Long Version (With Stories, Messy, Real)

1. Silver Oaks Net Cafe – The Best for Rs. 100
F-10/4. Silver Oaks Apartments. Basement. You go down. Looks fancy. But wait.
They have coffee. Black coffee. 100 rupees. Maybe 120 now. Not sure. But chai bhi hai. 100-150.
Wi-Fi? Strong. Charging ports? Yes. Most tables have them.
I dropped a passenger there once. He was a freelancer. Web designer. He said: “Bhai, subah 9 baje aata hoon. Ek chai leta hoon. Kaam karta hoon 1-2 ghanta. Koi tang nahi karta.”
I went inside once to pick up someone. Saw people working on laptops. Quiet. Good vibe. Not like other cafes where waiters keep asking “Sir kuch aur?”
Downside: Sometimes crowded. Students come. But still okay.
Verdict: Go here. Spend 100-150. Work 2-3 hours. No problem.
2. BREE Cafe (G-10) – Actually Not F-10 But Cheap
So. This one is not in F-10. G-10 mein hai. But close. 5 minutes drive.
Why include? Because bhai, Rs. 100 mein chai. Wi-Fi acha. Aur log work karte hain.
Passenger told me: “BREE cafe ka chai 100 ka hai. Shake 150-200. Par main sirf chai leta hoon. 2-3 ghanta baitha rehta hoon. Staff chill hai.”
But one review I read says coffee is bad. So stick to chai.
How to get there from F-10? Go towards G-10 markaz. Near G-10 fruit market. Ask anyone. Or Google Maps.
Verdict: If you want very cheap and don’t care about fancy interior? Go here.
3. Milk Center (Butter Plaza) – The Ultra Budget Hack
Yaar. This one. Not a cafe. A milk shop. Serves chai and paratha. Rs. 80-100.
But. Free Wi-Fi. Google’s own. “Google Wifi hotspot.” You connect. Works fine.
I have seen students there. Laptop on table. Chai in hand. Typing.
No one says anything. Because shopkeeper is busy with milk customers.
Downside: Not comfortable seats. Plastic chairs. No AC in summer. Only fans. Parking near Butter Plaza is nightmare.
But if you have only 100 rupees? This is your place.
Verdict: Extreme budget. Do not expect luxury. But you can work.
4. Chaaye Khana (F-10) – The Middle Ground
Everyone knows Chaaye Khana. F-10 mein bhi hai. Near F-10/3.
Chai is 150-200. Not 100. Sorry. But close.
Wi-Fi is good. Charging points available. Food is expensive so do not order.
I dropped a passenger here once. She was a writer. She said: “Mohsin bhai, main subah aati hoon. Ek chai leti hoon. Kaam karti hoon. Shaam tak baithti hoon.”
I asked: “They don’t ask you to leave?”
She said: “Nahi. Bus order karo kuch. Chai enough hai.”
So. Order chai. Work. But do not go at peak times (7-9 PM). Too crowded. No seats.
Verdict: Good. But budget 150-200.
5. Any Burger Shop Near Super Market – Not Recommended But Possible
F-10 main Super Market. Lots of small burger shops. Cold drink 60-80 rupees. Some have Wi-Fi. Ask them. “Free Wi-Fi hai?”
But problem: No comfort. Plastic chairs. No AC. Loud music. Not good for work.
Only in emergency. If you need 30 minutes to send email.
Verdict: No. Avoid.
Tips From a Driver (Learned From Passengers)
Tip 1: Go in the Morning
11 AM to 2 PM. Cafes are empty. Staff is not tired. You can sit longer.
Evening? 5 PM onward? Forget. Families come. No seats. You look like you are stealing their place.
Tip 2: Order the Cheapest Thing
Black coffee. Chai. Cold drink. That is it.
Do not order food. Do not order dessert. Budget will explode.
One passenger told me: “Bhai, maine French fries order kardi. Bill 500 ho gaya. Wi-Fi free tha par pet bhar gaya.”
Tip 3: Take Your Own Charger
Some cafes have charging ports. Some don’t. Take power bank. Or charger.
Silver Oaks has ports. Chaaye Khana too. Milk Center? No.
Tip 4: Don’t Be Too Loud
You are not in your room. Others are working. Keep voice low. No speaker phone. No video calls without headphones.
Passenger complained once: “Bhai, ek group aaya. Raha video call. Speakers on. Sab log annoy ho gaye.”
Tip 5: Buy Something Every 1-2 Hours
If you sit for 4 hours, buy something again. A second chai. Or water. Show you are customer.
Otherwise waiter will start staring. You feel guilty.
How to Get to F-10 (From a Driver)
F-10 is between F-9 and F-11. Main roads: Khayaban-e-Iqbal (but that is in DHA). Actually in F-10, main road is Street 10, 11, 12.
From I-14? Take Srinagar Highway. Go towards Zero Point. Then Faisal Avenue. Turn left at F-9 park. Straight to F-10.
Parking? Bhai, parking is problem. Everywhere full. F-10/4 ke pass underground parking hai. Silver Oaks ke pass. Use that. Or park near Super Market and walk.
Do not park on double yellow line. Traffic wala tow kar de ga. I have seen.
What Foreigners Need to Know
If you are from another country. Reading this. Here is translation for some words:
| Word | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Yaar | Friend / dude |
| Bhai | Brother |
| Chai | Tea |
| Paratha | Fried flatbread |
| Rs. | Pakistani Rupee (100 PKR = about 0.35 USD) |
| Markaz | Commercial area / center |
| Load shedding | Power cuts / electricity outage |
| Tang karna | To bother / annoy |
So when I say “order chai, not coffee” – it means tea is cheaper. And still good.
Most cafes will let you sit if you buy something. Even small thing. Just be polite.
Real Passenger Stories
Story 1: The Student Who Worked 6 Hours
Student. University. Assignment due. Ghar ka net down.
He came to F-10. Silver Oaks. Ordered chai (150). Then water (50). Total 200 rupees. Sat from 10 AM to 4 PM. Submitted assignment.
He told me: “Bhai, agar ghar hota to naha dhokar aata. Wahan seedha kaam kiya.”
Story 2: The Freelancer Who Got Kicked Out
Different guy. Went to a fancy cafe. Ordered black coffee (250). Sat 3 hours. Did not order anything else.
Waiter came. Said: “Sir, aap ne kuch aur order karna hai? Table reserved hai.”
He argued. But left.bree
Lesson: Choose cafe wisely. Budget cafes are more chill.
Story 3: The Milk Center Regular
I picked up a passenger from Milk Center. He was there working. Laptop. Chai. Paratha.
He said: “Mohsin bhai, main roz ata hoon. 100 mein chai paratha. Wi-Fi free. Kaam ho jata hai. Best.”
FAQ (Passengers Asked)

Q: Can I take online meeting / call?
A: Yes but use headphones. No speaker. Others will hate you.
Q: Are these places safe for women working alone?
A: Silver Oaks and Chaaye Khana are safe. Milk Center is okay but crowded. BREE cafe also fine. Avoid late night. Go in daytime.

What I Think (Driver’s Honest Take)
Yaar.
If you have 100 rupees only. Go to Milk Center. Or BREE Cafe.
If you have 150-200. Go to Silver Oaks or Chaaye Khana.
Do not go to expensive coffee places. They will eat your budget.
And remember. You are there to work. Not to show off. So order cheap. Sit. Work. Leave.
That is how freelancers survive in Islamabad.
